YorkEats rankings are designed to help people make practical food and drink decisions in York. They combine venue relevance, public rating signals, review volume and visitor-useful details.
Ranking factors
- Rating strength and review volume
- Relevance to the page topic, area, cuisine or visitor intent
- Practical visitor details such as price, location, tags and accessibility
- Category fit for restaurants, pubs, bars, cafes, brunch and fine dining
- Featured placement where a venue has an active YorkEats feature subscription
What featured placement means
Featured venues may receive priority placement and a featured badge. YorkEats still shows ratings, review counts, area, cuisine, price and practical details so users can make their own decision. Paid placement does not remove organic listings from the directory.
What rankings are not
Rankings are not a guarantee that a venue will be open, available, suitable for every dietary need, or unchanged since the data was last refreshed. Always check the venue's own site before travelling or booking.
